ASX and Simconnect and Goflight...

Featured Replies

Hi,Hi and thanks HiFi for a great a looking program. I have not had much time to spend with ASX so far, but it does look good.My problem is not directly related to ASX but hopefully other Goflight users might have the same issue. I was able to setup simconnect on my client and server thanks to your detailed documentation. The client and server are talking just fine, but now the Goflight bridge for FSX no longer works. If I remove the Simconnect.xml from the FSX app folder it WILL work. So the problem is related to simconnect.Do any of the beta testers use Goflight with ASX on a client? Any suggestions would be helpful even though this in not an ASX problem. Thanks in advance. Bob...

Just a polite bump to ask if you guys could contact the Goflight folks to see where the conflict might be. Thanks in advance. :)Bob...

Hi BobYou may need to ensure that you have 2 sections in your simconnect.xml, one for local and one for global<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>SimConnectSimConnect.xmlFalseFalseIPv4Global

SERVERNAME/IP ADDRESS
645004096FalseFalseAutolocal
NOT REQUIRED I BELIEVE FOR LOCAL

Thanks Carl! That did fix the problem and you are correct that the "address" and "port" are not required for local. Thanks again!Bob..

The same tips (one section for Global and one for local and no address/port for local) is also helpfull for those that want to have ActiveSky X and IVAP user Interface on a remote PC.Thanks for your help.VincentRookie Pilot (France, Saint-Cyr-LFPZ)http://20-100-video.blogspot.com
