Ugly cloud display on new computer

Featured Replies

Hi All,I finally bought a new computer. It has the GeForce 7600GS 512MB card, and came with driver version 6.14.11.6218. I'm using the Samsung 906CW 19" LCD monitor. I'm using ActiveSky 6.5 with the all the updates.Compared to my old system, the clouds look pretty horrible to me (this is no fault of the ActiveSky Graphics). I'm using the highest quality 32bit setting for the clouds I could find in the ActiveSky Graphics menu. The clouds seem to be washed out and have lines in them. Is this a problem with the video card/monitor? Does anyone know if a different set of drivers would make a difference or any setting suggestions?Any help would be appreciated. I was really excited about getting this new computer for FS9, but the way the clouds are displayed is taking all the enjoyment out of it.Thanks,ScottKJMS (or thereabouts)

Thanks for the reply! DUHHHH!!!! I thought I had set 32bit, but upon checking, it was at 16bit....I'll attribute that "senior moment" to not getting enough sleep the past couple of nights ;-)ScottKJMS (or thereabouts)
