I placed it on both my main LCD and my projector both show black..I took the pic on the projector so you could see it in larger scale. the projector acts just like a second monitor (no special programing). Im going to try to load both FSX and ASX on my laptop with no add-ons and see if it works there. Ill let you know and if you can think of anything else it would be great.. Thanks again for your time.

hey guys...mine is black too but the gauge is there....says new imagry downloading but nothing ever comes on...even after an hr. or so.uninstalled xgauge through wizard,reinstalled uninstalled reinstalled everything..ASA,XGraphics,,even deleted folder asa in roaming folder somewhere...downloaded and installed updates updates-ASA-update-B355,ASA update 394 and XG-SP4-B301.unistall w/wizard and reinstall xgauge. tried everything i could think of.Xgauge did work the first time..dunno what happened to let it quit.re allowed ASA through firewall couple times too...still nothing

Hi Jim,I thought I'd just continue this existing thread since my problem is the same. Happens ONLY on the PMDG 747X for FSX, using Windows XP Pro 32-bit. X-gauge is a black window. I tried the default 744 and the default 738 and xgauge displays perfectly on these planes. I did get an installation failure for xgauge where 30 of 31 planes installed with the simple error that these planes were probably "non-existent" or AI planes or something of that sort. The entries in the panel.cfg and panel.xgaugewizard.cfg for the PMDG both include the xgauge section. What could be the issue here? Please let me know if you need more info. My signature contains my system specs.By the way, I am a former AS2004, AS5 and ASV6 user on FS2004, just starting to setup FSX and just installed Active Sky Advanced tonight. It is absolutely SUPERB! I am in shock how well designed the interface is and how much is included in this gem of a software! My congratulations to your Hi-Fi Simulations team! Hi Jim,No problem. Shuffling is good from time to time ... the feet ought to love it if noone else does! :( If you look at the bottom part of the file, [window 20] shows xgauge. I tried uninstalling the xgauge with the uninstall option and then re-installing it, but this time selected APPEND instead of INSERT and still, the gaugue is black. PMDG is the ONLY plane where the gauge does not install. I gives me a msg that 30 of 31 planes had the gauge installed, and that one plane was either non-existent or an AI plane. So far, I have no other add-on planes, only the PMDG 744X, the rest are the default planes. Not a big deal for now to be honest, since I am used to minimizing and maximizing FS during flight to verify weather at my destination, but it would be nice to see it live on the "radar" which is what ASV6 used to have (which I have for FS9).I just completed a complete trip from CYUL (Montreal) to Paris LFPG on the PMDG 747-400. And there were no crashes nor stability issues with ASA and the updates seemed to be occurring regularly, since I could see the time of the last update in the ASA main window.So ASA is quite stable along with everting else, on my Windows XP 32-bit. Not a single crash the whole trip, which lasted 8 hours or so (including preparations).Take care and hope you have some suggestions.John

Sorry Jim, I was busy the past few days and could not reply. OS: WINXP 32-bit.FSX installed on separate partition of its own at : [driver letter]:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT GAMES\Flight Simulator X\ - which is the standard for WinXP installs.
