May 9, 200818 yr I was just wondering if XPax is checking to see what version of the SDK is installed when it loads up? If it doesn't find the specific version (even if you have SP2 installed), is that what is causing my screen to pop up saying I don't have SP1a installed? If this is so, are the plans to take into account that SP2 is a LATER version than SP1a and allow the program to run? Also, I've noticed (when I run it on my 3rd computer that has SP1a installed) that it will pop up and tell me that FSUIPC.DLL is not installed even though I've got it set up in a networked config. It doesn't affect the running of the program, it just might be a bit confusing to some people. Thanx.-Rick Schaefer
May 10, 200818 yr Commercial Member Hi Rick,We depend on SP1 simconnect version for dual compatibility with SP1 or SP2 (this is the simconnect supplied with SDK SP1a, FSX SP1, and FSX SP2).In recent updates we have changed our internal check to allow simconnect SP2 to be loaded instead of SP1, but you will get that error message if simconnect isn't able to be loaded by XPax for any reason. To keep it simple, yes, simconnect SP1 (.242) must be properly installed... if you have problems with this you can refer to the simconnect troubleshooting chapter which should help.As for FSUIPC.DLL not found, this happens if you're setup in FS9 mode and the fsuipc interface is not responding. FS9 needs WideFS/FSUIPC to work in a networked config.Hope this helps... Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
