July 22, 200817 yr Hi,Are the winds 8kts in AS or in FS?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 22, 200817 yr HI! 8 knt are reported in FS9 immediately after i load AS.Without AS are 0.In AS options winds are all disabled and set to 0.Thanx for support
July 22, 200817 yr Hi,Have you waited until after the AI Refreshes?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 22, 200817 yr Yes! i wait until "online mode weather update completed".AV set 8 knt on all airports also if i use it in outside Europe.I will make some other test ...Thanx alot
July 23, 200817 yr No way ... seem a this point is a AS bug or maybe other users has never set surface winds to zero. I think at this point all other hints are unuseful. I hope in the next release the problem will be focused and solved. Thanx
July 23, 200817 yr Hi,Things are working as they should be for me.I checked the Limit Surface Winds box and then entered a zero in the Surface Wind Limit box. and I clicked on Save and Close.I then started FS and visited many USA and non-USA airports and everything was fine. Even the FS ATIS voice was correct each time.FYI, in FS any wind speed below 5 kts is considered calm in FS. So a wind speed of zero is the same as a wind speed of 5. So the Shift/Z readout may not exactly show 000/00.What Build of AS are you running?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 23, 200817 yr Hi !! I'm running the 552 version and is about a month i'm working to solve this problem. All other functions are perfect. Can you please post a snap of your OPTIONS panel as i can see if i wrong something? Thanx ..

July 23, 200817 yr Thanx alot Jim for your snap :)I want set now with your same configuration and see what happen.Thanx again for fast support :)
July 24, 200817 yr Ok Jim,maybe i was thinking that when i set to zero the AS surface wind configuration i expect to see in my FS9 wheather settingsground wind speed=zero. Seem is not this way .. my FS9 say 8 knsthat could mean 3 or 5. I suppose that AS do not set zero speed butsomething like "calm" that can vary from 3 to 8.As you can see on the right side the decoded data is zero kns butreport (left side) is set to 4.Let me know ..Thanx
July 24, 200817 yr Hi,Did you set the wind limit to 4 kts?Yes the decoded data says zero meaning calm. The text in FS is correct also as it just reads the AS METAR.As long as winds are between zero and 5 that means calm winds in FS.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
July 24, 200817 yr Commercial Member Hi,Just a technical note... we increase wind speed slightly from zero to avoid wind depiction and interpolation issues in FS9 when winds are defined as 'zero'. Usually after FS9 interpolation you'll see winds at 2-3 knots but it can depend. Anything under 5 would be considered normal.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
