September 1, 200817 yr Hi,Everyone evacuated the area on Sunday and I would suggest that they shut the equipment down so that it wouldn't be damaged/destroyed. This happens when major hurricanes are heading your way! And it's OK because there are no planes flying in the area anyway. Only in FS can we fly in hurricanes!!Even NOAA has no data:KMSY 011853Z AUTO A2930 RMK AO2 SLP926 PWINO FZRANO TSNO RVRNO PNO $What you can do is try on the very edges of the storm where stations may not be closed down.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
September 1, 200817 yr Author I kind of thought the same but asked anyway. Thanks for the info. :) Jacek G. Ryzen 5800X3D | Asus RTX4090 OC | 64gb DDR4 3600 | Asus ROG Strix X570E | HX1000w | Fractal Design Torrent RGB | AOC AGON 49' Curved QHD |
September 2, 200817 yr Saturday, ASX reported 99kt winds for Gustav in Cuba (MUCL). In a moment of pure silliness, I loaded up the Navion that was recently released and taxied to rwy 30.I could barely keep it on the taxiway, and although I could take off, flight was anything but 'stable.' :-eek I could gain/lose altitude flying into the wind, but was in a 'powered hover' with groundspeed of zero. After 2-3 minutes of flying, I set her down at the end of the runway I had just taken off from, having gone exactly nowhere. :-hah
September 3, 200817 yr Check out the weather around Hong Kong the past couple of days, if you want to fly in rough weather! I've never gotten so many "complaint cards" from my FS Passengers before -- the wussies. :-lol Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B.
