September 28, 200817 yr I have been using my AS6.5 for about a month with no problems. Last night I was trying to fly into KEWR due to the bad weather they were having. When I got there is was blue skies and low winds. I get the following METAR is displayed:KEWR 160851Z 03009KT 10SM CLR 04/M05 A3053 RMK AO2 SLP338 T00391050 53002The real METAR is:KEWR 282051Z 00000KT 10SM SCT013 BKN030 OVC043 23/18 A2984 RMK AO2 SLP103 60004 T02280178 58007 I also noticed that in AS6.5 it has the proper system time but lists the Active wx as 160850Z. This is also what was displayed last night. One other issue that I am having which may or may not be related, I constantly get a popup that says something like there being an error acessing internal components and that there was a problem with step 4. It was recommended that I run repair which I tried but I cannot get it to run. I have tried uninstalling AS6.5 but cannot uninstall it.Thanks for your help and I hope this is as clear as mud.
September 29, 200817 yr Hi,Sorry for the problem. It looks as though you have a corrupt install. What happens when you try and uninstall using the Add/Remove Software screen in Control Panel?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
September 29, 200817 yr After several attempts I was finally able to get it to uninstall. I reinstalled it and everything seems to work fine now. Thanks.
October 5, 200817 yr Well, I thought everything was working ok. It will now download the weather when it first installs but it won't update after that. I have clicked on the update button. I have tried using the refresh button and have also used the download button. It says that it is downloading the info, but it is never updated. I am still getting an error that says, "Unable to access internal components-unencrypted Step 4"Right now it is telling me that the local time is 10/5/08 0934Zulu 10/5/08 1334Correct infoActive wx 050153Z (this is the last time I installed AS6)
October 5, 200817 yr Hi,That is a corrupt install, sorry to say. What anti-virus are you using?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

October 8, 200817 yr The same problem still occurs. I get the meesage about the unencrypted step 4. It will update to the date and time of the install but it will not update after that. Thanks for taking the time to respond to my problems (and everyone elses). I think it says a lot about HIFI.
