October 13, 200817 yr I did it as an administrator and when it started it updated to today, but the update was for 1.5 hours in the past and it won't update from there.
October 13, 200817 yr Hi,Based on when you start and when our servers update their data it is possible to have this happen. Include the times of when you run AS and the METAR time being shown.Did the error show up?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 13, 200817 yr Not yet. When I started AS later it updated to a more recent time. Looks like things are working. I will let you know if I have any more problems. Thanks for your time and patience.
October 15, 200817 yr I've now got another problem. I start up AS as an administrator and everything works fine. When I start up FS9, AS goes to refresh/update the data and lists the closest station as DGTK (I am sitting on the ground at LAX)and starts getting the data for DBBB but this takes several minutes. It then continues to go through all D*** stations, but each one takes several minutes to write the data.
October 15, 200817 yr Hi,Might want to try running FS9 As Administrator also. There may be a communication issue.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 17, 200817 yr I don't have the problem with it trying to update the weather at D***, but it still won't update to the latest time. My active weather is over 3 hours behind and I tried to refresh it and still no update.
October 17, 200817 yr Hi,Please post you ASV6.ini file.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/

October 18, 200817 yr Hi,Uncheck Ignore FS Location Until Ready and see what happens.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 19, 200817 yr Hi,OK, thanks. What happens when you start FS? Does AS recognize your current location?Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
October 20, 200817 yr No, I am at RCTP and AS6 says the closest station is DGTK. I am also getting a new error message that says there is an FSUIPC access error. It says that more than one unregistered program is accessing FSUIPC (or something similar to that, it closed before I was able to read the entire thing).
October 20, 200817 yr Make sure you don't have a duplicate copy of FSUIPC or any other program in the FS9 Modules folder. If you've renamed a file to keep a backup, it isn't sufficient to keep it from loading--if it's a windows PE executable in that folder it'll be loaded regardless of the file extension. Saw something similar a while back with a guy that upgraded FSUIPC by renaming the old one and then putting in the new one...he had two of 'em in there, and that's not a good way to fly.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
October 21, 200817 yr Hi,Bob is correct, something is not quite right with your FSUIPC situation. That is where you should look.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
