AS6.5 problem with METARs

Featured Replies

I did it as an administrator and when it started it updated to today, but the update was for 1.5 hours in the past and it won't update from there.

Not yet. When I started AS later it updated to a more recent time. Looks like things are working. I will let you know if I have any more problems. Thanks for your time and patience.

I've now got another problem. I start up AS as an administrator and everything works fine. When I start up FS9, AS goes to refresh/update the data and lists the closest station as DGTK (I am sitting on the ground at LAX)and starts getting the data for DBBB but this takes several minutes. It then continues to go through all D*** stations, but each one takes several minutes to write the data.

I don't have the problem with it trying to update the weather at D***, but it still won't update to the latest time. My active weather is over 3 hours behind and I tried to refresh it and still no update.

It starts trying to update the weather for D*** again.

No, I am at RCTP and AS6 says the closest station is DGTK. I am also getting a new error message that says there is an FSUIPC access error. It says that more than one unregistered program is accessing FSUIPC (or something similar to that, it closed before I was able to read the entire thing).

Make sure you don't have a duplicate copy of FSUIPC or any other program in the FS9 Modules folder. If you've renamed a file to keep a backup, it isn't sufficient to keep it from loading--if it's a windows PE executable in that folder it'll be loaded regardless of the file extension. Saw something similar a while back with a guy that upgraded FSUIPC by renaming the old one and then putting in the new one...he had two of 'em in there, and that's not a good way to fly.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

OK. Would it be best to delete the modules folder and reinstall FSUIPC?
