Weird behaviour with VRB winds

Featured Replies

Ok Jim, maybe this evening I'll give it a try.I was thinking to this possibility: I usually import a complete FPL, with also SIDs and STARs. My problems are always during final approach, is it possible that this is due to the many interpolations necessary in the STARs?Massimiliano

Ok Jim, I hope I can fly this Thursday.Massimiliano

I have same problems, like Massimiliano. We have already started discussion in other topic with JSkorna, but I prefer continue it here because appropriate title. I had executed many test with 3parth aircraft (MD11, 737WILCO), many ASX settings but the problem still there. Today have executed another test using FSX default 737-800; the wind was very stable all over the flight. This is the specification used:VISTA 32 4GB RAM; ASX SP3; registered FSUIPC, no smooth option; IVAP with weather options OFF; B737-800 FSX default type. That's all for nowFrank

Hi Jim, test flight was executed as you want. No iVAP, default plane (A321 FSX), FSUIPC default settings, ASX started. I flew from EDDF intense airport area: winds swift direction change, especially passing FL100.Regards Frank

Virtual Stations and Ehnanced Route Cov are both ON, as you can see on the attachment, but no flight plan processed by ASX. I'll try to test it.Bye Frank

Is it me or does it seem that these changes occur only when changing from Wx station to Wx station? Something else I found weird is that right now Nov 10 at 1430z I'm flying EHAM - MPTO. Here's what happened on this flight. (please note that not every flight I make goes like this, and the problem is still the same).I started FSX, VAFS, and FSInn(automatically). Opened up ASX. After loading was completed it told me to restart FSX due to new Wx stations. I REALLY was not in the mood to start all over again, and lose my VAFS session. So I opened up AS6.5. Took off and as soon as I was airborn I got one windshift.....when I was crossing the English channel all #### broke loose. Plus or minus 80 to 90 knots on my ASI. From overspeed to stall. So I turned off all weather settings in FSUIPC and closed AS6. Opend FS Weather and chose real world Wx with 15 minute updates. Curiously it still happens that I get fierce direction changes every time new data is written (appears to me). So I don't know if it's FSUIPC with regards to FSX, or if maybe the failure to restart FSX may have been the culprit. Although I really doubt it since this also happens when ASX starts without prompting a restart.I'm also at a complete loss for words regarding this issue.Xander

Hi Jim. Latest test executed as you want (wind shift and wind smoothing Off and Dynamic Rate of Change set to zero), but nothing change, the problem still remains. That's all for me. I spent my money for ASX and you solve it's bug. I can't think that your FSX installation hasn't any problem like this one. Other customers have reported same problems as all of us can read in this forum.I'm waiting for a patch as soon as possible. Thanks and regardsFrank
