Exception 14 Solution?

Featured Replies

I may have a solution to the Exception 14 problems I and others ar having when running ASX on a network. As others, I too did all the network tests and could see, and write to, the shared folders as requested by Jim.This evening I studied the documentation again, especially part 6: Configuring ASX. where it tells you how to set up the registry manually.I found that 'HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareHiFiXEngineAppDataPath:' string value was missing.I added that value and set it to the App Data path on the FSX computer (server). No more exception 14 errors and the weather is being updated, i.e. working as it should do.I have no idea why that string value was missing but it could be worth checking if you get Exception 14 errors even when the network tests seem OK.HTH

My "AppDataPath" path was incorrect. I corrected it in "regedit" and no longer have the "Exception received:14" error messages. Thanks Dave!Ken S
