April 12, 200323 yr Quick question...Is there ever going to be a scenery made for the MAAM museum?Thank you.
April 13, 200323 yr If I am not mistaken I think Bill mentioned soemthing along those lines. Do a search in the archive on scenery and you just might find something.. MIke B.
April 13, 200323 yr Commercial Member Does this answer your question?http://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maam.jpgI will be putting up a press release announcing the newest member of MAAM-SIM, our scenery specialist, within the next day or so. I'll let the mystery remain until then. What you see above is the very first cut of an extensive KRDG - MAAM scenery. You can't get it yet, but we hope to release part of it in time for World War II Weekend, June 6, and the plan is to have the rest finished in time for the AVSIM Convention. Stay tuned.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, and ??????http://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org

April 20, 200323 yr Please let me know if you have any more screen shots or goodies for my hometown airport. :D Thanks!:-jumpy------------------------Kenneth WeikTWVA 395Travel Services Directorhttp://www.fly-twva.com-----------------------
April 22, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Ken,I just got back from a trip up there yesterday to photograph more of the MAAM buildings for the scenery. I have our facility covered, but I could definitely use your help on getting the other side of the field, the south side where the passenger terminal is. Any shots you can provide of those buildings, including the tower, terminal and hangars on that side would be a big help. When I factor in about 5 hours of driving time up and back, that does not allow much time for cruising around the far reaches of KRDG. Just don't go anywhere you are not supposed to be - like on the AOA without a badge! ;-)Thanks Bill Rambowhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
April 22, 200323 yr As a matter of fact, I had an intern day with the airport manager: Mr. Rinehart. I took a whole bunch of pictures, I'm going to scan them this weekend and post them, so watch out :D Maybe some static of U.S. Airways aircraft or from the "Flite" Academy could be used in the scenery.:-jumpy------------------------Kenneth WeikTWVA 395Travel Services Directorhttp://www.fly-twva.com-----------------------
April 23, 200323 yr Commercial Member Sounds great, Ken. We will indeed have both static and AI aircraft in the scenery, so US Air will be represented, along with some of the other aircraft on the field - including some of our own MAAM birds, of course. :-) Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, and Younghttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
April 23, 200323 yr Hehe :D I'll get those soon... I kind of figured you would include your static aircraft. A neat option would be the tuning of frequencies to open up the hangar at MAAM, sort of like the gate at Simflyers, if possible.:-jumpy------------------------Kenneth WeikTWVA 395Travel Services Directorhttp://www.fly-twva.com-----------------------
