B-25J Firebomber

Featured Replies

Hi all,After downloading the FS9 update and reading the readme I noticed that Jan Rosenberg is working on some 'special'effects like a couple of water bomber effects. Does this mean you guys are working on a firebomber version of the B-25J MITCHELL?I really hope so. It would be a great tribute to all those pilots/firemen who gave their lives for the sake of our security and welbeing.Rob "Holland&Holland" de Vries http://www.emotipad.com/emoticons/Flying.gif"To go up, pull the stick back. Jan is probably too busy to answer at the moment - possibly creating the aforementioned fire-bomber - but yes we are. We agree, it's a great tribute to those brave pilots, whatever sort of iron they fly. Perhaps we can persuade Bill Womack, our scenery guru, to provide a forest fire to apply it to, as well. Hi BillI saw that effect (fire) some time ago in FS002 to be used with the Erickson Skycrane Helicoptor water bomber. Looked very nice except the water would never put the fire out, so it was all a bit pointless really!RegardsTimhttp://www.spottedantelope.com/bwomack/ima...aam-sim_sig.gif

Well, speaking as the graphics guy, sometimes we do things just because they look COOL! :-kewl Besides, maybe someone can come up with an extinguishable fire effect. We have some miracle workers on the team.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and Hamblyhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif

If you wanted to, you could probably set a trigger in the scenery. Like some of the stuff that will happen at KRDG. When the pilot triggers something on the aircraft, in 30 seconds the fire will go bye-bye. Just a thought.:-jumpyCheck out my work: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Search...Weik&CatID=Roothttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...tor=OD1&a=a.jpg------------------Kenneth WeikTWVA395 / [email protected]
