R4D and BT in FSX

Featured Replies

Any word on the prgoress of updating these 2 marvelous planes to FSX?

The R4D has been going through some extensive beta testing to track down a very elusive, pesky bug. But thanks to Herculean efforts by Fred and Howard, we may be able to say the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight and it's not a train coming at us - we hope!We expect BT to follow very quickly behind it. More news soon.Bill RambowMAAM-SIMhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Hi Bill,On the MAAM website it states that the upcoming FSX patch will update all 16 planes on the 9th Edition CD. Does this also mean that we will be able to use the patch on the R4D 8th edition CD which I purchased lat year?regards,Dave

Absolutely, Dave. It can be used on any R4D CD for FS9. If you do not have or want all the planes in your hangar that are on the 9th Edition CD, that's OK. You will just end up with some extra C-47 folders in your FSXSimObjectsAirplanes directory that are incomplete. You may delete them without any bad things happening. But if you do want the new planes, which are the six C-47s/Dakotas of the "All Theaters" Pack and the DDF's OY-BPB, you should install those into FSX first, before applying the patch. There will be an illustrated htm installation guide included with the update which I beg you all to use! It will save you and us grief.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif
