March 31, 200719 yr I have the Briefing Time CD for FS 2002. How would I go about installing this with the new FSX update to FSX.Thanks Chuck
March 31, 200719 yr Hi Chuck; Just install exactly as if you were installing BT into FS9: point the installer to your FSX root. This will create a new folder - "Aircraft" under the FSX root folder, and will install BT into it. This makes it look - to the installers - just like FS9.Do the old upgrade for FS 2004 (bt_fs9.zip), and follow it with any "oil drips/windows" mods, etc., that you might have added onto your original FS9 install.Once this is done - cut or copy the "B-25J Briefing Time" folder from the Aircraft folder, and place it into the "Sim Objects/Airplanes" folder. Then delete the now useless "Aircraft" folder. That's all.Go fly. i7 | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
March 31, 200719 yr Commercial Member Thanks for saving me all that verbage, PJ! :-) Well said, but you left out one final, but vital step - perhaps not stating the obvious, but I think we'd better:After the steps that PJ has outlined, run the FSX update, "BT_FSXu1.exe". NOW, go fly!Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org

April 2, 200719 yr I also have the 2002 version of BT. Following the above instructions I was able to move the B-25 to FSX; however, somewhere I lost the tinted area above the windshield. Is this normal?Ed W.
April 2, 200719 yr It was mentioned in - I think - of Bills posts that this has happened: Like yours - mine is gone too, but I don't think it is a general error. Likely an issue with a graphics driver/s and/or specific gpu chipsets. I'm running ATI 7.3. i7 | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
April 3, 200719 yr Yep, it's not there for me with a Nvidia 7800GT and latest drivers, nvforce4 chipset. We'll just have to buy better Raybans for now...MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a] _________________________ Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumont VP Fleet, DC-3 Airways Team Member, MAAM-SIM
April 4, 200719 yr Commercial Member Hi Ed. That's in the Known Issues section of the installation doc. I have no green glass (or gunsight glass) but Jan does. It's one of those things we will attend to later on, like the missing Gmax default colors.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
