July 30, 200718 yr Commercial Member Hi Ken,Absolutely, it's past time (on both things you mention!) MAAM's WWII Weekend is unlike any other "air show", anywhere. If you are interested in WWII history, and not just the airplanes of the era, you will be amazed and delighted with the scope of the event. There truly is something for everyone. 'Gunny' R. Lee Ermey announced at our hangar dance that he'd be back for the third consecutive year in 2008 and pronounced it, "the show by which all others must be judged".Take a look around the WWII Weekend section of the MAAM webpages and you'll see. We receive raves from show-goers and very few minor gripes. You can read some of these on our web, too. Make your hotel reservations early. The next show is June 6-8, 2008.Still no firm date on the TBM. Jan had a massive computer meltdown and is rebuilding his system, but work progresses and we are still hopeful of an early Autumn release.Bill RambowMAAM-SIMhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
August 1, 200718 yr Hi, Bill. Thanks for the info and good luck with Jan's re-build. Yes, I have never heard anything bad about the MAAM WWII weekend, other than it's really big, but big doesn't stop me from going to the air show at Miramar here in San Diego. I happen to have more than a passing interest in WWII history, I'm a re-enactor myself, I do RAF and British Parachute Regiment. In fact, it was through re-enacting channels that I first heard of your show. I've wanted to get to PA for the past two years, so maybe next year.
