Any update on a possible DC3 ski version?

Featured Replies

Hello all. Is there anything to report on a DC3 with skis? I know it was mentioned as a possible "future" MAAM-SIM add-on but I haven't heard any more mention of it. Vic

Hi Vic,It's still on the wait for it list. Everything is on hold for the TBM completion. The gremlins seem to be against us - on top of Jan's computer blow-up, now Mark is suffering same. ;-) But the snow-Goon is one we really want to do, so hang in there.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Operating system failure this time, Vic. No water to be seen in the case, but it wouldn't boot, nevertheless. Repair tools wouldn't work, tried everything. So it was a good excuse to order myself a new 500GB HD and install Windows anew on that! So now I have my new drive and the two old 250 drives... should keep me going for a while!Have no fear, Jan loves his DC-3... when the TBM is put to bed, we'll be looking at the Gooney once more.On the subject of getting wet, though... I went out to our pool yesterday morning to supervise my little one and her friend swimming, having no intention of going in myself at the time. Cellphone (LG) in my swimtrunks pocket. Messed about by the side of the pool for a while fixing bits and pieces and then noticed some floatsam on the pool surface that needed skimming off. So.... walked casually into the pool, up to my waist, and skimmed the surface. Still up to my waist, cleaned the sides a little.... well, you guessed. Cellphone had now been underwater for five minutes..... duhhhhhhhhhh :(But the story has a happy ending. After a panic stricken half and hour frantically shaking water out of it and leaving it in the 90' sun to dry... the screen condensation took 12 hours to disappear.... it WORKS! For how long is another matter, but 24 hours later, I am happily making and receiving calls on it. :)Perhaps there really is a Dog.MarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a]
