September 13, 200718 yr It's a small point, but I can't seem to access the passenger cabin views on any of the DC3 aircraft. I'm running your package under FSX, with the patch etc. I assume they are meant to come up when you toggle through the other views, but they don't!
September 13, 200718 yr If you look down in the B25 thread, I added some new views for that airplane. Now that I know how to do it, I'm going to try to do the same for the DC3, probably over the week end or early next week.
September 14, 200718 yr Commercial Member Lee Woodward is speaking of FSX camera views in his response, but I suspect taht is not what you mean. If you are talking about the photo-real cockpit views that we had in FS2004, MS has eliminated the fixed window capability in FSX, for no apparent reason. Sorry. September 14, 200718 yr Hello Bill,It's unfortunate that those photo-real views can't be used, but you guys did such a good job on the interior of the planes that in the B25 a camera can be placed where the bombardier sits, and another one behind the cockpit, so that you can pan all around. This is much better than 2004 where you had to use keys to move around. In the DC3 a camera can be added where the navigator sits, and another one back in the cabin looking out over the wing. I plan to post these shortly.I couldn't do anything for the waist gunners, turret gunner, or tail gunner positions because there is no detail in the original model, but it is something to think about for the future.
September 14, 200718 yr Commercial Member OK, Lee. That sounds like just the ticket. Yes, it's true that the interior 3D model in BT only extends as far as the rear of the upper turret gunner's/engineer's compartment. That's the forward wall of the bomb bay. Maybe when Jan has nothing else to do (yeah, like that's going to happen!) ;-) he can model the rear of the plane. Besides the waist gun position, it would be cool to be able to sit in the tail turret. September 15, 200718 yr Give these a try. They are set up for the C47 BBFM so might need a little adjusting for others by modifying the initialXyz line, and don't forget to change the () to brackets.(CameraDefinition.3)Title = "Navigator"Guid = {b1c13530-89ca-11db-b606-0800200c9a66}Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = YesSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.6SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=30HeadingPanRate=75PanAcceleratorTime=0HotKeySelect=1InitialXyz= -.25, -.35, -2.45InitialPbh= 0, 0, 0(CameraDefinition.4)Title = "Cabin"Guid = {8ff6c134-098d-409f-baec-caba3f683f98}Origin = Virtual CockpitMomentumEffect = YesSnapPbhAdjust = SwivelSnapPbhReturn = FalsePanPbhAdjust = SwivelPanPbhReturn = FalseTrack = NoneShowAxis = YESAllowZoom = TRUEInitialZoom = 0.6SmoothZoomTime = 2.0ZoomPanScalar = 1.0ShowWeather = YesXyzAdjust = TRUEShowLensFlare=FALSECategory = CockpitPitchPanRate=30HeadingPanRate=75PanAcceleratorTime=0HotKeySelect=1InitialXyz= -.30, -.35, -7.25InitialPbh= 0, 0, 0
