Hi Harry,I'm trying to get together another panel for a variation of the plane that Jan has produced, Fred is working on the coding for latest sub-panels I sent him, Rob is doing an improved flight model, I have recorded the sounds from the aircraft and should have them assembled into a sound suite soon...In other words, we are working at it and desperately anxious to release before Christmas.Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Thanks Bill,Great to hear that there is another model coming along also. Am anxiously waiting the release, but do not shortchange any of the quality that the team is known for. If this aircraft is anything like the R4D or the B25 it will be fantastic.Much appreciationHarry

The TBM project seems to have had more than it's share of a bad luck. Computer crashes, FSX release, health issues, rains, floods, etc. I feel for you guys, this has been a difficult one. I hope you're able to get it done, just for your sake.

Don't worry Ken, we are now in the final push and will have it in your hands before the last snow falls. We have added the early TBF-1 to the package, and although I don't have the model to show you, here is the panel...http://www.avsim.com/~maamdev/TBF_Mpanel2.jpghttp://www.avsim.com/~maamdev/TBF_Fpanel2.jpgHappy New Year!Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Bill,Excellent Panels, I have a feeling that I am going to like this aircraft as much as I like the DC-3/R4D and the B-25.I just have one question for the DC-3 and I feel I already know the answer. Would it be possible to have a model for the Super DC-3?Again I am looking forward to the TBM.Harry

After all the headaches I've had with other payware FS9 planes, I'm more than willing to wait however long for the TBM from MAAM-Sim. I work in a lot (some say too many) volunteer groups, so I understand things take longer under those conditions. The amazing level of quality of what you create makes it easy to be patient.P.S. Still hoping to meet you in person, Bill. Maybe this year.

Thanks. I'm rather pleased with them, considering I did not have a real TBF to work from - just some old B&W manual illustrations. If you guessed that we really hate the "Super DC-3", you would be right. :-) We'll leave that thing for someone else!Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

Thanks for the reply Bill, I can understand the dislike for the "Super 3" I only asked because I had to crew one (C-117D) when I was in the USMC.Thanks againHarry

I once boarded a Basler turbo-conversion at Andrews AFB where I used to run the Customs Service. It was spanking new inside and I would not have known I was even in a DC-3 cockpit if it had not been for the familiar control pedestal. Everything else looked like it was ripped out of a biz-jet! I can admire the program that gives new life to the indestructible old airframes, but just can not bring myself to like the thing. It's sort of like sanding the patina off a Chippendale highboy and slapping on a nice new coat of polyurethane! Cheers, Billhttp://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif

BillYou're not mixing up Super DC-3 and Basler turboprop conversions, are you? Very different things... The Super DC-3 just has more chunky Wasps, a longer fuselage, slightly altered wings and a funny looking tail, if I recall correctly... ;) http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/183718.jpgMarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cx.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/avsimlogo.jpg[/a]

Bill,I am with you about the Basler, I do not like them either. I did enjoy my time as crewmember in the USMC C-117D (Super DC-3). Again, the decision not to make a model of the Super DC-3 is respected by me, I am not pushy. Thanks for your input and thought.Harry

Well, I almost hate to ask, but is there any news about the poor old TBM project?
