Wing views

Featured Replies

I would like to know which FS2002 a/c (pref. the freeware ones) have wing views, so that is possible to see the wing of an aircraft if you look back from the cockpit. I'm not interested in bitmaps which should kind of represent a wing ('cause they don't). I just love MelJet 747. The wings are superb, they bend and have lots of detail, animated flaps and spoolers, moving engine fans...As far as I know, there is an Ariane B737 GMAX (Aeroflot) and Meljet's 747 and from today on 777. Any other suggestions?

Well, you also have POSKY's CRJ, AFG's YS-11 v2 and all of PFG's 737.And most small props out there have wing views (FSD's Seneca V, F1's Cessna 421, etc.)

Take a look at this link, which shows shots of a just released '146 which is freeware w/great wing views:http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID47Add to that the IFDG 757-200, which was just released and has photoreal wing views which rival the Ariane model. Also free. The already mentioned POSKY 747 has the best wing view I've ever seen for a heavy jet, and it also rival's Ariane's model.FFG will be releasing a 737NG soon with wing views. No idea as to timetable.Simubuild's/USD's MU-2, for smaller birds....I am happy to see these aircraft coming out. No longer will we have to turn to payware for photoreal, dynamic wing views. That should have a positive impact on pricing for current and future payware products. With freeware now stepping up to the plate and acknowledging the enjoyment many of us share with such views, payware vendors will have to be a bit more generous with the way they offer their products.

I am sure payware developpers will be able to find new features that will add $$ to the price without a big difference in quality... Most of the times that's what it's all about until freeware also starts using that feature :(

Now all we need is an A320, A330 and 767 :-)Todd

Another payware company's approach to passenger type wing views..http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID73/523.htmlAndhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID73/542.htmlRegards,Steve Dra (who is saying nothing, just giving links to what has been said) :)

I remeber posting in a thread a few weeks back and I had said it was possible to have both the VC and the virtual wing view and I was jumped on by several people that are big VC fans and they said it wasn't possible. I am really happy to see this thread and links to DF proving my point!Regards,Van LatendresseYeoDesigns Panel/FDE Designer
