Turtle Beach Voyatera Sound Card causing hangs in FS 2004

Featured Replies

I would like to know if anyone has had a problem in FS 2004 with either the retail or OEM vesion of this card causing sudden loss of sound and frame rate drop to 1 with need to reboot computer to restore its function. I suspect my problem relates to the card or its driver, but would like to know if I am the only one. After this happens the card diagnostics proclaim hardware test failure, and usually rebooting makes the diagnostic proclaim that all is well again.I use Win XP and the OEM Dell version of this card with latest driver as posted by Dell. Dell will not help with this problem saying it is the fault of FS 2004 not the card. Thanks,GReg

I've had my TB (retail) for almost 2 years without a single problem.Drivers I use are the 4193 available here: http://www.turtlebeach.com/site/kb_ftp/585ftp.aspFailing a driver upgrade resolving your problem I would go back to Dell... this is something they need to address (with more than just blaming the problem on the sim).Good luck,

I second this advice. I also have been using the 4193 driver referenced by the link. Since installing, I have had no issues whatsoever. Before, I did have some problems.....
