Athlon 64 3400+

Featured Replies

I am baking two loafs of bread in one oven........I had to do my 90 day thing and I also wanted to report on my new PC that I recently purchased.......I bought the Athlon 64 3400+, with 2 gigs of ram and a GeForce 5950 Ultra with 256 ram. All I can say is WOW!!!FS2004 is getting 40 to 50 framerates on the ground and 70 to 110 in the air!!! I have all sliders to the right(Max) and have the antilansing checked.....WOW!I only hope this machine will be good enough for FS2006!Well, thanks for reading!Paul

You sure picked the right CPU but why if you play FS 2004 did you go with the 5950 ULTRA??? the 9800 XT smokes it and even the 9800 PRO beats it in FS 2004. nVidia cards are better off in Open GL.If you are getting 40-50 fps over cities no worry but you loosen out a bit in the image quality department. Don

Do you also get this kind of FPS at LAX (standard) ?are you working with the standard AI or have you added some other AI planes ?I ask this because I'm running the A64 3200 with 1 gig Corsair ram and a ATI 9800 pro (128 mb) and I'm getting in dense area's with not all sliders maxed between 15 - 20 FPS.Peter.

That seems more normal really :)
