May 13, 200422 yr Went over to their site to check them out. Seems to fix a number of issues with various games and connecting to a HDTV. Nothing for FS9. Doesn't seem to be anything to get excited over as far as FS9 is concerned. John
May 13, 200422 yr No improvements whatsoever. 3D MARK scores identical. If you're working OK now, don't bother. They still haven't fixed the invisible mouse cursor problem in the flight creation screen.
May 16, 200422 yr I have been using the 4.4 with my 9600XT. The only real problem I have is when in 2d panel mode and I look out the right or left window at altitude , the ocean or landscape takes a while to update/paint/load? not sure the right term to describe it.Have any of you seen and fixed this? If so please let me know. I have been having this ever since 3.9s so I am guessing its a driver issue. I have 1GB RAM Win XP and P4 1.9ThanksBill
May 16, 200422 yr Thanks for your reply Par but I do not think the problem is CPU related. I had an Nvidea MX card before upgrading to the ATI, and I did not have the problem, so I feel it is ATI/driver related.Bill
May 16, 200422 yr Hi Bill,Oqvist is correct about adjusting the TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT. Try increasing this. I have AMD 3000+ Barton running at PR3400 with a 9800 Pro, and I have the setting at 200. This combo works fine for me.Keep in mind that increasing the value too much will cause problems all it's own. The higher the value is set, the higher the likelihood that you'll suffer stutters in turns.Good luck,Greg
May 16, 200422 yr Are you running the same settings as on the mx ;)textures do load faster with the Radeons as opposed to the FX so that should really not be the reason for this unless you are running higher settings that puts more demand on your video card/onboard memory...
May 16, 200422 yr Par, yes I am ...all default settings no AA or AF or any stuff like that. Its the MX not FX that I had. The textures load great in front view but once I look right or left it loads in blotchy squares and a lot slower.Realy strangeBill

May 17, 200422 yr Greg and Orqvist. Just to let you know I switched from 400 to 200 and it didnt help much so I still dont know what the casue is. Its not really a big deal, but it looks weird. Maybe 100 or 50? :-)Will try the 4.5 just in case it may affect mine. Thanks to both again.Bill
