Video cards

l`m looking at the moment to get a great looking video card for performance and graphics could anyone recommend one thanks

I recommend that you visit the Screenshots Forum. Specifically, look for recent submissions by "ChkSix". Then note his system specs. Pretty nice graphics out of that card.GregP.S. Check his framerates and then his CPU. Those FPS require alot of CPU... and he has it.

well, what's your budget? also, you need some sort of balance between CPU juice and graphics card. if you're using an older CPU, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to spend $500 on a graphics card.

l have a 2.8gig hyperthread with 2 512 meg ram. and l have a old ticard 128 meg

This thread is another example of a display adapter query without the most important information: The display and resolution, the display adapter needs to adapt to... Without such indications, the discussion is veeery philosophical. A hint maybe: For 1024x, i.e a 9600pro/XT is great. For 1280x a 9800pro or the Nvidia equivalent is super-dooper. For greater, the sky and the CPU is the limit... Please folks, include your display in such queries in the future? Cheers, good luck and kind regards Jaap

Your Ti-card will do quite well, if running with the latest certified drivers (61.76). Pair that up with a really good monitor, running at least 1280x960x32, choose 2XAA and 4XAF and you've got one very nice setup..
