September 24, 200421 yr Tuning and tweaking are just as critical as the platform. You can harvest tweaks from the forums (although not all may be useful), or check out www.fs-gs.com. I found them useful and was able to get decent performance on my aging 1.7GHz/768Mb/Ti4200-128Mb system.Jon My blog

I found them useful>and was able to get decent performance on my aging>1.7GHz/768Mb/Ti4200-128Mb system.i agree., a post by "tinsoldier" on the hardware forum was really useful particularly concerning settings outside of FS9 (e.g Bios and O/S setup) I was running my 1.2 ghz athlon then with relatively slow memory and got generally good performance, then i decided to change my motherboard (sound card, faster processor) at the local comp store and ended up stuttering quite badly for some reason ... i defragged, reloaded Fs9 but that didnt seem to make much difference I guess individual systems perform differently to an extent Cheers.,Dan:-rotor
