November 13, 200421 yr I've gone through a lot of posts looking for an answer, but don't seem to be able to find exactly what I'm looking for.I just switched from a GeForce2 MX 64mb card to a GeForce FX5600 256mb card. As you can probably guess, my frame rates are the same as before. My system is a P4 1.5GHz with 512mb RAM with Win XP.I uninstalled the old card and drivers and installed the new one. I downloaded the latest nvidia drivers from their website. FS2002 recognizes the new card, but as I said, nothing has changed at all in FS2002 or in any other game I've checked. Are there new settings I should be using somewhere within FS2002 or in Win XP?
November 15, 200421 yr To really get better performance, you need to upgrade your CPU as well as your video...If you were to get a P4-3.0, you would get better framerates and make better use of your new video card. Bert
November 15, 200421 yr Unfortunately, my CPU can only be upgraded to a 2.0GHz chip and getting a new motherboard is a rather pricey alternative right now, although when it's time for a new machine, this one will have everything it would have except the CPU.
