With sliders around MID (to low) and 2xAA 4xAF, 2D clouds, I get around 40 fps on the ground and between 60-100 up high. With 4xAA 8xAF I get about 10-15 fps Hit (Loss). With 3D cloud it is quite poor in or near cloud even with Chris's fps-friendly clouds. With sliders higher than MID I would get about 25 on the ground, 40 in the air and about 15-20 in or near cloud.Its a good card but I think ATI's cards (in the same generation) were better at AA and AF. I also think the 128mb would have made a difference as I mentioned earlier.

is the card capable of running half life 2 or doom 3 with ease or is it a little old for those types of games?

I'm afraid I can't tell you, as I run neither of these games.

i mainly run FS. i have been thinking about getting Half Life 2 though.

This card can run both of those games perfectly.
