January 3, 200521 yr Ok. I have 1024MB of RAM. Currently I am flying with FS9.1. I have Windows XP with SP2. Currently in my task manager window, under Physical Memory, it shows the following:Total: 1,047,200Available:440,544System Cache:185,600Now why is it my PF Usage graph shows a PF usage of 1.08GB? It was my understanding that the page file is only used when the physical memory is used up? Why is XP having such a large PF file when I have 440MB of physical RAM left? Eric
January 4, 200521 yr I've been wondering about this myself. It seems page file usage in XP is the same as total memory allocation. For example if I'm using 200MB I get 200MB page file usage, 400MB I get 400 MB etc.Anyway 1GB still sounds like a lot. I get about 550MB when running FS, ~100MB with nothing open. -
