First Time This has Happened -- CH Yoke

Featured Replies

I was on short final to runway 15L at KIAH in my PMDG Continental 737-900 after a long flight from San Diego when my CH Yoke just quit working. I went to lower the gear and nothing happened. I tried lowering the flaps from 10 deg to 15 deg and nothing. I quickly checked the drop down to see if the yoke had disconnected itself and it showed as it as connected. Luckily I was in autoland mode and when I finally stopped (well, I did over run the runway slightly). :-eek Anyway, after the tug came and towed us away, Maintenance still could not find the cause. :-mad After a complete reboot all was well. Has anyone had this happen to them? If so, what was the cause? (no, I didn't kick the USB port out of it's socket).

Yes, it happened to me occasionally up until about a year ago and then it magically stopped. Let's hope that I haven't jinxed it by stating this aloud.Recently, I started FS and found the rudder pedals were inop. The next time I started up, and every time since then, the pedals have worked. I don't have an answer; I just live with it. The keyboard functions still work if you need to help that landing a bit. (Now how do I declare and emergency to MSFS ATC?)I don't know if this is significant but I do use CH Control Manager mapping.R-

Well, now two nights in a row I'm on final and no yoke. Nothing. Nada. When I get on the ground and disconnect the yoke from the USB port and reinstall it the flaps work but I can't turn left. Plane goes in tight circles to the right only. :-hmmm I'm baffled. This did not happen when I was flying Grabowski's ERJ -- only since I've been flying the PMDG 737NG.....
