March 10, 200521 yr I just ordered a new PC (yeah finally! it's a 3.80Ghz, Radeon 850XT Platinum Ed) and am wondering how I will deal with a reinstal of Fs2004. I have about 200 aircraft and 50 different panels and have modified many cfg files of various a/c.Would I be best advised to reinstal every single a/c one by one and re-execute those files for complex commercial add-ons as if they are brand new?Or is it possible for me to use my Detto Intellimover USB cable exchange which allows me to send files from one PC to another at 30MB/minute ? I have about 10GB of FS2004 files including maybe 5 or 7 GB of aircraft files.Appreciate advice here, thanks!JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
March 11, 200521 yr 1. Install FS9 on new computer.2. Upgrade FS9 to FS9.13. Copy over your Flight Simulator 9 directory...I assume you can do this over a network if you have one.4. Copy your FS9.cfgCaveat - I did this with FS2002 but did not have to deal with the patch and also you may have to manually reinstall some payware products.Mark. Mark CYYZ
March 11, 200521 yr Author Thanks, Mark.I don't have a network. The Intellimover USB cable and menus emulate a type of network, I suppose.JS Jonathan Sacks Dell XPS Gen 4, Pentium IV Northwood extreme 3.8Ghz, 3Ghz RAM, eVGA 7900 GTO, 12 GoFlight modules plus MCP-PRO AP and EFIS, GF pedestal, CH rudder pedals, CH throttle quadrant, 42" LG LED, 24" DELL LCD, Windows XP, FS2004, FSUIPC 3.96 FS Autostart 1.1 (Build 11), FS Navigator 4.6, UT, FE, GE, REX, PMDG, Level-D, PSS, etc.
