Hi Nigel,Thanks for your detailed response, and I sure understand that it was a long time ago!No, I didn't explain myself properly. My issue is to do with the construction of the stick itself, and has nothing to do with software control. The stick does not move smoothly backwards and forwards in the pitch axis, but tends to jerk as if the contact points at the base of the stick are not smooth. The Sidewinder was effortless(almost too much), because it uses optical connections. I was wondering if others experienced this and, if so, how they solved it.Thanks a lot for your interest.BR,Frank

Right off the bat, I cut about three coils off the centering spring. It's been quite a while, but looking at it now, there are four coils left. Others have used wire ties to compress the spring.If this is in all the "old replies" from last year...........I didn't re-read them. :D Ladamson
