ATI Catalyst 5.5

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried the newly released Catalyst 5.5 drivers yet with FS9?

I've been running them all day. I was running with the Omega 5.4 drivers, but found the OPEN GL (I use them for X-Plane) to be broken. The Open GL in the 5.5 suite are excellent. The ATI side of things in the 5.5 package goes without saying. The Cat 5.5's off of ATI's site pass the test, big time! :)You'll like 'em....Cheers!Mitch R.ATI X800XT 256 card.

I have the 5.4's right now, and will probably give them a shot later in the week.I'm at 3dMark 01 SE with a 11,227 so I will see what it is afterwards, and of course what FS9 does as well. Thanks for the report,Joe aopa.gif" border="0" alt="Grab My FREEWARE Voice recognition Profiles here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=58334]Cessna 172 Voice Profile[/a][a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=60740]FSD Avanti Voice Profile[/a].You will need the main FREEWARE Flight Assistant program to use it, get it here:[a href=http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=genutils&DLID=39661]Flight Assistant 2.2[/a]

Running 5.5 and they are working great!

Yes the 5.5's seem pretty solid but I will most likely upgrade to the Omega or DNA versions once they are released since those drivers usually provide a better level of smoothness and squeeze out that extra drop of performance.
