Has anyone tried the new release ATI driver (Ver 5.5)? And if so what kind of results did you get?Chuck

I guess noone is really anxious to change a working driver, BUT...I'll give it a go now. Downloading as we speak.Will report when I test it a bit.

Tried out this driver last night and I was pleased. I've been using CAT 5.1 for quite some time now because 5.2,5.3,and 5.4 all gave me various levels of stutter. CAT 5.1 has always been perfectly smooth for me and now I think that CAT 5.5 are just as good. Did'nt notice any increase or decrease in FPS but like I said my main concern is always stutter, not FPS. I will probably get the Omega or DNA versions once they are released.

I tried it also. Seems to be pretty smooth. No problems yet.(I'm running it with a 9800 pro 128 card).Best,Bill Worth

I used to have issues with 5.2-5.4, with BSOD ati3duag.dll file fault. Now I upgraded my bios to 1005 and 5.5 driver and yet I'm waiting for another BSOD... :)Apart from that, fluent and seems great! :)

On 32bit XP no problems.On 64bit XP, FarCry will not run. I had to re-install the beta 64bit drivers.End of line.
