hi allis there a distinct disadvantage by placing a tower case on its belly like a desktop, i was thinkin of placing the tower case flat instead of vertical would this cause problems to the components inside the computer?

I would worry about the hard drive but my fears may be unfounded. But someone must have tried it; anyone know? R-

Hi Clayton,I wouldn't worry too much but it depends. I fyour CD/DVD's stay in the drive, you should be ok.Me, I like having it upright mainly because over time, Dust will not really collect on the board per say, but will collect a little on the AGP Card and PCI devices. Joethanks, by why do i need to have a disk in the DVD drive?

Not really in the drive, some drives are not manufactured to hold a disk on its side when being used. Most drives are though with little clips or something that will keep it oriented while the drive is in use.
