July 31, 200520 yr Looks like to me that my LCD monitor (Sony SDM-M81 18", about 3 years old now) has given up. I yet have to plug another computer into it to verify it's the monitor and not the card (but I get no display even on the BIOS initial boot, although the LED that goes green indicating signal is there, is doing that).I see reading this forum that I should be looking at a 12 ms or better (smaller) refresh time, and perhaps a brightness ratio of 700:1. I will most likely look at a 19", maybe a 5:4 aspect.Any ideas on what is good or bad are most welcome.Thanks- Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
July 31, 200520 yr IMO, at this time.. DELL LCD Monitors are way up there...there is no competition. You can search the web for "DELL Coupons" and go the Dell links on those sites..You can get some awesome DELL Monitors... depending on yur price range.MannyYou may be able to get a DELL 24" Widescreen 12ms monitor for $900 or a 20.1" Widescreen for around $500Try getting something from anone else for that price..BTW.. I am not a Dell rep. OK. :) Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

August 9, 200520 yr Author Hi Mannie,I have yet to get the ME rating, currently getting into a complex single for my commercial. Good luck with the IR. I assume that stage 3 is approaches- the most fun part of the lot for me. Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
