I had a wierd experience last night - where my FS drive which was designated M: suddenly changed designation to E: I went into computer management and tried to go to disk management to change the drive designation but that didn't work. I keep getting a message that "the RPC remote connection could not be established" Is there anyother way to change a drive letter? Thanks for any help!!

I noticed when I looked at this, the whole link was not highlighted as a hyperlink. So, I suggest you copy block it and open in a new browser.

This could be a sign of impending hard drive failure. Check for bad sectors, and if there are more than a few, expect to have to replace it soon. Allcott
