September 30, 200520 yr New 81.33 drivers are downloadable from www.guru3d.comOnly had a quick chance to try them last night, but I have suddenly started noticing subtle variations in light intensity and visibility I haven't seen before. Also, very smooth at higher levels of AA and AF on my GF6600GT.Anyone else want to try them and see if it's just me?Allcott
September 30, 200520 yr Allcott:Thanks for the heads-up on these. I have 6800 currently; I'll give them a try this afternoon and post what I see. Thanks again.
September 30, 200520 yr Thanks, I'm about to start a sim session using fixed parameters that I'm familiar with, just to check it myself.Allcott
September 30, 200520 yr Hello,I "fly" the XG V2 78.05 with succes. Emile EBBR Z590 Aorus Elite, i9-11900K 3.5Ghz Nvidia RTX 5070, 32 GB Mem, SSD 3 Tera , 3 monitors Win11 Pro X64 LM P3D V6.1 Little Nav Map Hifisim Nvidia 591.44
September 30, 200520 yr Well, unless my old eyes deceive me, there is a definite change with these, there's much more realistic cloud vis transitions, and a definite change in the ambience when above, in or under cloud. It's subtle, but it's there. And I definitely haven't changed anything else - I was running real world weather not ASV, hadn't changed the FE textures at all, and still have the Bluesphere ground textures. All I did was unistall the old driver, install the new, delete the NVIDIA lines in the fs9.cfg reboot the sim and reselect the Res, Trilinear filtering and AA, as always. I even set the same settings in the Nvidia control panel and reinstalled the monitor driver to be sure.Curious, but it may be of help to some, like it was to me!. Allcott

Or do you delete the whole file as most people say they do?I didn't know you could simply delete the graphics driver lines.Let me know as it saves a good amount of time. Thanks for your input!
October 1, 200520 yr Yes, that's all you need to do - just these lines:(DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT .0)Mode=1280x1024x32TriLinear=1AntiAlias=1 (if set within the sim)Then reboot the sim. It will start in low res. Reset the res, trilinear and choices of ticks, AA if required then launch the flight. Simple.Incidentally, the 81.82's are now leaked. HAven't yet had the chance to back-to-back them with the 81.33's but they are supposed to have some useful menu options for SLI users. Allcott
October 2, 200520 yr Hello,Anyone else with this problem? With 71.89 or earlier this does not occur. With all new drivers since 71.89 this occurs.I have 6800 Ultra, AA*8 + AF*8...On 3dmark05 I am getting 5-7% better score than with 71.89. Bera
