Problem with LCD Display

Featured Replies

My five year old CRT gave up the other day. After considerable research, I have replaced it with a ViewSonic VX924 LCD Display. This unit was recommended for

I run a 9800Pro on a Hyundai Image Quest 17 inch TFT and have no problems Dan, and its response time is slower than 3 - 5ms so I doubt a change of card will help.A couple of years ago Tom's Hardware did a comparison of then current TFT's and said you can forget quoted response times as there is no standard set for how to measure them so manufacturers will quote the most impressive figure.Although I get some stutters when turning these are no different to those I got when using a CRT so it ain't the monitors fault. All I can suggest is staying with the monitor's default resolution and refresh rate (60 Hertz) as moving from it can cause display problems but AFAIK not the kind you decribe.I should add that I am using the digital input to my TFT.I have another cheaper 17 inch TFT on my other computer which is used for Web surfing, email and general stuff like that. That monitor is fed an analogue signal and I have no display problems with that. Can't offer any more help but hope you get it fixed.

Thanks for your reply Valcan. After reading the following thread in Flightsim, I think that I have solved most of my problems with the new monitor.http://forums.flightsim.com/dc/dcboard.php...id=&page=#14095I have turned on Anti-Aliasing in FS9. I have also set Anti-Aliasing to 6X, Anisotropic Filtering to 16X, Texture Preference to High Quality, Mipmap Detail Level to High Quality and Wait for Verical Sync to Application Preference in the ATI Direct3D Properties, Custom Settings screen. Thanks again for your help.Dan
