October 9, 200520 yr I think the appropriate thing for you to do is to rate that rig by running FS9 with some complex add-ons (like PMDG/LDS 767/Ultimate Traffic etc...) and give us feedback.I'd be interested to know whether dual-core CPU and the 7800 card make a difference in FS.
October 10, 200520 yr Author I've had Flightsim running on maximum everything and with all the add-ons you've mentioned plus scenery such as simflyers and uk2000. On top of that i have every download from project ai with traffic set to %100 and the framerates are between 12-25. I'll feel the real impact of this machie when Windows 64 is released to cope with the new technology.
October 10, 200520 yr "I'll feel the real impact...Windows 64..."Do you mean that you believe you will gain performance or lose? Sorry, just want to clarify!Eric
October 11, 200520 yr Author I mean its going to be even better because Windows XP doesn't take the full advantage of the PC. However Windows 64 will take advantage of the latest hardware increasing performace.
October 11, 200520 yr How is your FPS only between 12 and 25 with the dual 7800 cards?Jeff Jeff Commercial | Instrument | Multi-Engine Land AMD 5600X, RTX3070, 32MB RAM, 2TB SSD
October 11, 200520 yr >I mean its going to be even better because Windows XP doesn't>take the full advantage of the PC. October 12, 200520 yr Hi SteeveI'm looking out for my new system also. I WOULDN'T buy a SLI system for FS2004 as it DOESN'T give back for the money you give. Look Here, old test (2004) but meaningfulhttp://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/dis...-27gpu2_26.htmlMOBO, CPU & MEM is OK -in my opinion. FS2004 is CPU Intensive.I DON'T know if 7800 gives any advantage over 6800ULTRA and X850PE. I have not seen any test anywhrere...If you play also other games then... ok check out again and balance Good luck!!!http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpgSamuel KalachorasAthensGreece Sam. Waiting for the 64-bit PSION Flightsim for ZX-Spectrum ////
