November 8, 200520 yr I presently have two 19" monitors and one 15" monitor. I have an AMD 2400+ with ATI Radeon 9800 XT and a much older PCI video card. The two 19"s are on the 9800 and the 15" is on the PCI video card. I am looking to upgrade my cheap PCI video card to a better one. I can't seem to find much information on PCI video cards. The only one I could find is Radeon 9250. But according to tomshardware.com its based on DirectX 8. http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20031229/index.html What are some other good PCI video cards to look at with this setup? 10700k / Gigabyte 3060

November 9, 200520 yr I use a 4M Riva128 card as a secondary display output in one of my computers and a 16M Voodoo3 card in another, both driving 17" monitors, and they work just fine with all the web pages, weather interface, FS realtime, FSBuild, VATSIM, VA ACARS windows and undocked panels that I display on them. Why do you think you need a faster PCI video card? November 10, 200520 yr Author hmmm, I have a Rage 3D Pro pci card. It has 8 mb ram. I get around 10 fps or so with this setup. My two 19" are hooked up to the 9800. The 15" is hooked up to the pci video card. I even tried going down to 800x600 in FS with this. 10700k / Gigabyte 3060
November 11, 200520 yr Are you saying that you are getting 10fps on your primary (AGP) card, or are you trying to put the 3D window on the PCI card? If the former, then try removing the PCI card and see if FPS actually increases. If the latter, don't put any 3D displays on the PCI card. In fact don't display 3D on more than one monitor - it kills performance! The performance hit I have on my system from having an old PCI card driving the third monitor is neglible.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
