December 19, 200520 yr You think you get it all but.....Today my new computer arrived and there is a problem. The joystick uses a 15 pin male connector, but there is none on this new motherboard. There is a parallel port which is something like 30 female pins and a comA and comB serial ports.Does anyone know if there are some connectors around to connect my joystick to say the parallel portthank you so much Brent Lewis
December 19, 200520 yr You might have to get an adapter to USB. I have one for a gamepad, so I know they're out there. As to where.. not sure.OR you could buy a new joystick too? ;) Cheers,John TavendaleTextures by Tavers - https://www.facebook.com/texturesbytavers
December 19, 200520 yr Hi Brent There should be various possibilities, i.e. by: - Getting a soundcard w/ a gameport interface - Checking the mainboard manual to see whether an onboard interface is there but hasn't been equipped. For example Asus still equipes their nForce3/4 mainboards with gameport interfaces. - As John mentioned, use an USB to gameport adapter for roughly 10-15 Euros/$ Having said that, gameports are becoming somewhat outdated for external controls. WinXP64 for example, no longer offers support for gameport devices. Hope this helps, good luck and kind regards Jaap
