Sometimes, duplicate video-card entries are created when updating drivers, and this can cause issues.Otherwise, maybe there's been a problem or conflict with new/old drivers, it sometimes happens when updating graphic drivers. Try to uninstall drivers following the exact procedure specified by nVidia (look for it on readme files or their website) and install them again.Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 20, 200520 yr I has deleted the fs9.cfg and rebuild, and still with the same problem, i has also delete the old drivers of the Nvidia and reinstall the news drivers and still with the same problem, sometimes the frames come ups to 20 but still unstable
December 20, 200520 yr The biggest bottleneck of your system is you graphic board. An FX5200 just does not produce acceptable framerates, unless you aggressively turn down your display settings. Also, the 81.95 drivers tend to reduce my fps quite a bit. I would recommend rolling back to the 78.05 drivers for best reasults.Lastly, follow the advice (the sticky post) on top of the "Hardware Discussion" thread. It will definitely help you squeeze out a few more fps.Hope this helps,Pat
December 29, 200520 yr absolly, the drivers was the problem, i download the Drivers 77.72and i get more Frames, i set on high configuration the FS and get between 20 -30 fps, but when i add scenery it comes down.
December 30, 200520 yr Newer unified drivers tend to favour the newer cards, sometimes at the expense of older cards. As said, you may want to stick with the older drivers.
December 30, 200520 yr Finding the right driver is like searching for the Holy Grail. I read suggestions all the time that read " To fix your problem , install the latest Driver" and many times this can be a recipe for disaster regarding the way FS9 performs on your system. If you install a new Nvidia driver and experience any weirdness, go find another driver or roll back to the one you had before. It is important to use a driver cleaner like Driver Cleaner Pro when loading a new driver to make sure you have all remants of any older drivers completely removed. I am using the latest NvIdia Driver now which is the best one of I have found in the last 6 months. It is Nvidia 81.98 and is "supposed" to be optimized for FS2004 http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_81.98.htmlThe previous version, 81.95 was a disaster on my machine ( with a 6800 GTO graphics card) and I removed it after 2 days.
