December 29, 200520 yr I am using 3 external drives. I changed the letters fairly easy using 'disk management'. But when I turn off the computer and then come back, the drives' letters revert to the original assignment.I use windows XP-sp1.Anyway to adjust the registry to make the letter changing permanent? Thanks.Abe

However probably not related but I would update to SP2 if I were you. ;) Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)
