Once more on tuning

Featured Replies

I read several times about a company http://www.fs-gs.com/ and Michael concerning service to tune a PC to improve FS performances.Lot of people do not believe or judge it worthwhile spending 60 or more Euros to improve their computer.I finally made the jump when I found out that the PC was reaching its limits and after trying all the advices I could found in this forum.Like others before me who asked Michael services I can only say that it is worthwhile. Now I fly with nearly all the sliders on the right. Now I have a wonderfull view (like Michael said to me I have a new FS) and FPS in the 30-35 range almost all the time (sometimes a bit lower with heavy clouds and a big city but that is very brief). And I have on a single PC FS, RC4, ASV (or ActiveSky), FlightKeeper, A majority of AI with Project AI (I am in the process to replace A/C with EvolveAI and AAarvark and AI from http://www.flightsim.co.nz/ ,AISmooth, FSNavigator and MaxiVista (to use the laptop RC as third screen). Also using two screens on the main computer. No WideFS (yet). No payware A/C.If anybody is hesitating due to the price, don't hesitate. If you are clever enough to go without Michael's help, bypass it.But I am sure that even if a clever guy does ask Michael services he will be pleasantly surprised.

Hi Roger,I used his services back in May 2004 and can honestly say that I have never looked back since. It was a great (if exhausting) learning experience and, apart from the obvious benefits seen in the improved performance and appearance of FS9, I learned a great deal and am still following his advice to this day.Not only that, I felt encouraged afterwards to do my own research with regard to developing a regular maintenance and backup schedule.Cheers,MikeEdit: ( Can't break the tradition, now can I?..LOL ;) ) I should add that I have never had to reinstall either XP or FS9 in over 3 years, nor have I had to reformat my HDs. Just spend a little time developing a regular maintenance regimen, stick to it and, barring an unexpected catastrophe or stupidity, all should remain well. For those of you who may feel that I am perhaps being overbearingly smug, I would respond by saying: "Not so, these are simply the dividends reaped from investing a little bit of effort and being prepared to stick to it."My Specs:P4 2.4GHz (400FSB), 1Gig PC2100 DDR Crucial, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB (Omega 3.8.205 (6.01) / Catalyst 6.1), SB Audigy (5.12.0001.0443), Hyundai ImageQuest Q17 17" TFT LCD 20ms Monitor (1280x1024x32), Gigabyte GA-8IRXP MoBo, Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 (160GB) + IBM Deskstar 120GXP UDMA100 (40 GB), Ultra-Quiet PSU 400W, Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse, WinXP Home (SP2), DirectX 9.0c, AGP Aperture = 128MB
