ATC Hard to Read

Featured Replies

Has anyone else had problems being able to "Read" the ATC instruction boxes since the newer version of the ATI drivers have come out? Especially the new 6.1 and 6.2 versions. I know there is a statement in the release notes that the mouse running over the ATC box might cause similar problems. So far the only way to get rid of the problem is to go back to the old version of ATI drivers like the 5.11 that did not require the Net Frame and CCC.Speaking of CCC, can the new 6.2s be loaded and will they run without installing the CCC? I have heard that you need to go into the custom install instead of the default"quick" setup. If this be the case, Does the MS Net Frame prograam have to be loaded on the computer. I think that is part of my original problem even though I had all of the updates to version 1.1 installed.I am only running a 9800 Pro 128mb card so maybe that is part of the problem?Terry

With a Radeon 9800 I suggest you stay with the 5.x series, as you can be pretty sure ATI isn't optimising the 9800 too much now days in the newer Catalyst series.I don't know whether you can install the ATI drivers without CCC, but you sure can uninstall CCC after you have installed the drivers. I personally have all sorts of AA problems when CCC is installed, so I get rid of it as soon as I update drivers.Gary
