March 7, 200620 yr temporary? Well an AMD 3000+ winchester or san diego or something similar and then overclock it as much as it wants to go :).However there is a new socket on it

March 7, 200620 yr Paul,Have a look at different reviews/benchmarking of CPU:s at Toms Hardware http://www6.tomshardware.com//Ulf B

March 7, 200620 yr You're welcome, Ulf. Thanks to Greg (Soarpics) who originally found it. :-) Kind regards Jaap
March 7, 200620 yr wow l couldn`t believe it bud... l might go for the AMD 3500 looks good enough... Thanks bro
March 7, 200620 yr Yeah, the AMD 3500+ venice is a good price/performance point there. So is the 3700+ san diego which is what I run at present. Both quite overclockable. This is all if you are building a "stop-gap" system to sort of bridge the gap between now and next year, when we'll know a lot more about FSX vs. DX10 vs. single core vs. dual-core vs. SLI vs. single gfx.:):)There is just a lot of "what ifs" right now in FS hardware it seems...Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
March 7, 200620 yr you are correct in saying that... l`ve decided to go for the san diego 3700 and a 7800GT extreme... should be fine for flight sim... the way l see it if you have a good system that runs fs great other games would follow.... Fs is the biggest factor here... thanks budPaul
