I forgot the root/tree for by existing fs9.cfg file. Can anybody supply me with this info...I've become brain dead the last few days and can't remember where it is....Please excuse my ignorance..Regards,jack

Try C:Documents and SettingsYourUserNameApplication DataMicrosoftFS9 . I sure hope they change this with FSX as it's just too complicated this way.Doug

Thanks Doug. Now I really have a problem as I can't find Application Data as I could before. I can get Documents and SettingsYourUserName and this is where it ends....I can't find App data or anything else that is microsoft or FS9.....Big problems I guess. However, FS9 works OK in XP but I get a phase every 4 seconds when my frame rates are running decently they go to 5 or 6 and then go back to 24 or 30 etc. I want to deleted my FS9.cfg & reboot FS9 but can't locate the fs9.cfg file. Even when I do a search for it.....Very strange...Regards & thanks for the help.jack

Click My computer, click Tools, Folder Options, click View and under Hidden files and folders, click the circle that says Show hidden files and folders.then start Doug's message. This is with XP.JimCYWG

Jim,Thanks so much for the 'heads-up' regarding the hidden files option. It all worked and I have now located the config file. Also, thanks to Doug for the individual file location.Regards,Jack
