August 10, 200619 yr HiI'm getting pretty desparate here so I hope some here can help me.Issue #1:http://home.get2net.dk/default/fs9/screwed_windows_02.jpgAs you can see the windows are pretty messed. They seem to appear in layers and you can never count on which on FS9 keeps updated or which one remains en image of a past situation. It doesn't matter if I play in full screen or window mode. The problem is the same. It's pretty frustrating as it renders FS9 pretty unplayable.Issue #2:http://home.get2net.dk/default/fs9/plane_gone.jpgThis is what the main menu looks like in full screen mode. No aircraft. It's there in window mode. The two problems came at the same time so they seem related. Is something messed op in FS9 or is this a driver related. My graphics card is a GeForce 7800GT and I have just updated the driver to nVidia 91.31. Before that I used 84.21. The update has not helped at all.My computer config is:MB: Asus A8N-SLI PremiumCPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+RAM: 4 x 512MBGFX: Galaxy GeForce 7800GTSomething tells me that this may not be driver related. The graphics card works fine with everything else.I really hope someone here can help me as I don't feel a strong urge to reinstall 50+GB with being FSX so close.
August 10, 200619 yr This looks like the well known issue with the latest nforce display driver. I can't remember the version number....maybe someone else can chime in.Revert to an older driver and see if that works. I think it will.........Glenn Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
August 10, 200619 yr AFAIK, a workaround is to reduce the AA level. Perhaps give it a try? BTW, you might also want to read this regarding signature images: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchGood luck and kind regards Jaap
August 10, 200619 yr Author Thx for pointing the siggie rules out to me. I somehow missed them. I've edited my siggie so now it should meet the requirements.I have tried reducing the AA level. It had no effect. My (unfortunately) rather slow internet connection is chewing on the FSX demo at the moment. When it's done downloading I'll download the version 77.77 of the nVidia driver and test it. I hope that can solve the issue. If not I'll prolly turn to my wife and cry, hehe
August 10, 200619 yr Hi Hakim, perhaps try 77.79 instead of 77.77? I hope your GPU is supported by those 'ancient' drivers. :-) If you set a restore point, you could even easily try both. Good luck and kind regards Jaap
August 10, 200619 yr Author 77.77 supports the 7800GT card so that shouldn't be an issue. The reason I chose this driver was that a number of people say that this is the driver version that they to this day still experience as the best for FS9. If 77.77 doesn't solve this then I'll try 77.79. After that I fear I'll have to reinstall, but it prolly won't be a full install. I think I'll install my airports/cities as I fly to them at this point. After all... FSX is only a few months away now.My Internet Explorer decided to give up on the FSX demo download at 63%, which sucks pretty bad. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow using FireFox.
August 11, 200619 yr Author It works with driver version 77.77 with 4xAA and 8xAF.Thank you so much for helping me with this problem.
