October 5, 200619 yr AllcottThanks very much. The question is:- Should I buy NOW 2 NVIDIA 7900 GTX with 512 MB eachOR- Wait until Spring 2007 and then buy DX10 compatible cards Thats all for my Flight Simulator FS2004 / FS X (next week). My frame rates are now very slow +- 15 !!!Peter
October 6, 200619 yr FSX is as much CPU-bound as GPU. Factor in a complete system upgrade in the first quarter of 2007 and you should be well placed.Allcott
October 7, 200619 yr Hi all**********When does ASUS or others sell this new cards?*********I heard from a vender yesterday that they will have NVIDIA G80 chiped cards an Mid-November.--- Do we really need the "fastest" videocard for FS9 / FS x (about 650 US$)?Or it is better to invest more money in the CPU (Intel Core Duo 6800 Extreme) and a little bit less (about 400 US$) in the video card?Peter

Take the $500 dollars you saved and buy the good video card. Have cake and eat it. :-)
