2D Cockpit.?
I fully agree with Rob. Not only Cockpit builders, but also (as me) four monitor users need 2D Panels; I will need an overhead panel and put it on a "own" monitor over my head!! Peter

2D Cockpit.?
Hi And how about Cockpit builders using the new PMDG 777, how can they distribute the Cockpit instruments over several monitors? Thanks Peter Hi And how about Cockpit builders using the new PMDG 777, how can they distribute the Cockpit instruments over several monitors? Thanks Peter

Will the SDK provide enough access to create a 2D panel?
Bryn I agree with you. I also use only 2D panels; I dont like the VC; I have 68 years maybe this is the problem. That is why I switched ti the iFly 737-800 who has a full 2D Cockpit (extended on two big 26" screen in my config); additionally you can click on the instruments and they are increasing even more. It is a not very customer friendly from PMDG; just as 2D Panels are very easy to build. Peter

To get in the mood for the PMDG 777
Hi all I am a happy Level-D 767 user. But when PMDG will release the B777 (triple seven) I will go and have this plane. As I am a old simmer (67 years) I only fly 2D-panels on a multimonitor setup. Will the 777 have a complete 2D-panel setup also (not as the 737-has no 2D pedestal!)? Thanks Peter

Nvidia 8800 GS and 7600 GT does not work?????

It works perfect with "normal" applications like the browser, mail etc. What I tried out:1.I have 4 monitors and my Nvidia-setting is to use the for monitors each one separatly. This works for 2D applications as stated above.Result: but when I use FS2004 or FSX all is very slow and also the mouse pointer is bumbping. 2. The same 4 monitors but definded each graphic adapter as extended horizontal desktop; the FS2004 / FS X is running fine. But it is not what I want; I want whad I had on my "old" PC, a config with total 6 screens:1 AGP adapter: one exit to the Matrox TH2G (3 screens), the other exit to an other screen.2 PCI cards with one screen eachHow can I do this with my Nvidia 8800 GTS and 7600 GT? Please help me!!Thanks Peter

PMDG737-800 stretched mainpanel with WideView please he...
I'm using a multiple PC/Monitor FS2004-PMDG737-800 setup with WideView: - 1 Server with 4 monitors (2 for the mainpanel **here is my problem**, 1 for the overhead panel and 1 for the FMS and pedestal)- 3 clients with 1 monitor each, one showing "frontleft-", the others "front-" and "front right-view".The problem:The mainpanel has a fix small post with the inbuilt whiskey compass. To get a bigger undocked mainpanel stretched over 2 18 inch monitors, I had to cut off the small post and the compass from the original 800panel.bmp file, and I repositioned the gauges.Everything works fine and it looks great during daytime. When I change to night, the gauges are dislocated! Can any WidevieW user or PMDG developer help me?I hope I explained it in a way you can understand my problem.ThanksPeter Koller

Anyone with WideView experiance and 737NG
Hi MichaelThanks a lot. Where can I find "the night panel " ? Peter

Anyone with WideView experiance and 737NG
Hi I have a 4-computer network for PC-flying using the programm "WideView" on a server with 4 monitors for the instruments (two for the mainpanel, one for overhead and one for the FMC/pedestal/radio panel), and 3 computers for the outside-view (front-left / front / front-right). This worked very good for the PIC767 and FS2002.Now I changed to FS2004 and 737NG with a small problem:I have to stetch the mainpanel over 2x18-inch monitors. Unfortunatly 737NG has the "whiskey"-compass and a post on the same bitmap as the mainpanel (and I do not use this compass on my stretched panel). So I cut the post and compass away with a graphic program and reallocated the instruments. So I can strech the "rest" of the mainpanel over my 2x18-inch monitors. This all works nice and very good with the "day-illumination", when I switch FS2004 to night, some instruments are located in the wrong place. Is there any special config file for the night-illuminated panel?Peter

737NG together with FDC / Flight Deck Companion
I used to fly the PIC767 with FS2002 using FDC, now I changed to the 737NG with FS2004.Problem:The PIC767 hat a switch to switch off thie inbuilt sound of the panel (80 knots / 100 knots etc). This is much better done by the virtual copilot in FDC.How can I switch off this sounds in 737NG to use the FDC again? I tried to eliminate this soundfiles, but then loading the panel, FS2004 cancelled.Any solution? Thanks from LSZH / SwitzerlandPeter

Modified 2D-Mainpanel for the -700? No whiskey-compass
HiI'm using Wideview for flying. So I'm using 2x18 inch monitors for the undocked mainpanel. To do this I have to exclude the whiskey compas and the corresponding pedestal.Does anybody have a modification made like this? Can anyone help me to do this. In the PIC767 this was no problem because the mainpanel and the whiskeycompass/pedestal are two separate panels which can therefore be undocked separatly.Peter
