FSX and wide-view monitor

Featured Replies

Somebody know if FSX is optimized for wideview screen 16:10 or we'll see scratch panel like in fs9.1?Andy

There is actually a spot in the config file to tell it that you are using wide screen. Looks great. My monitor specs below...Dave

Hi Dave, I'm also about to buy a 16:10 screen. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of the screen showing FSX incl. a 2D panel? Not that I don't believe you, it's just that I wonder what it looks like. Thanks!

Nice find Dave. Unfortunately though, enabling this setting does nothing to stop 2D panels stretching. What it does seem to do is give a much better default zoom aspect with the VC, whereas before it was not possible to zoom out far enough for it to look "right". Since I mostly use VC now (thanks TrackIR!) and often used spanned display mode (ie. double widescreen of 3360x1050), this is a great discovery for me!Gary
